The Second Day is much like the first...

The second day is much like the first because your Monday classes are not the same as your Tuesday classes.

Tuesday I have Medical Microbiology 1 (MMBio 353) at 9 am. I saw a lot of my friends from the chemistry classes last semester. I was excited to see them.

Then I had Intro to Organic Chemistry (Chem). We learned some Ochem last year, and I was surprised that I understood most of what the professor was talking about.

Then I have a one hr. break that is reserved for BYU devotionals, or a one hr. speech on various topics and from various people, some professors, poets, or general authority. BUT today we did not have one so I went to eat lunch with some friends at the Cougar Eat; a mall food court type of place. I spent about 45 min waiting in line and about 2 min eating.

I had to run to my Molecular Biology (BIO) class. That is the last time I eat there. I figured it will be much faster to go home (a cross the street) to eat a sandwich. The Bio class was filled with the same people that took Bio 220 in the winter with the exception of a few RMs (returned missionaries). Only at BYU do they treat the status of having returned from a church mission as a title.

I have a free hr. after Bio and before my next class to blow off, which will turn into me trying to do the home work before class. I get a sort of rush like athletes do from trying desperately to finish home work on time. But today I had to walk off campus (which I rarely do) to buy the Biology packet that contains 40 to 50 pages that I’ll never read for that class ($6.75).

And finally, I got to my Intro to Clinical Lab Techniques class (MMBio 102). I was so excited because in this class we get to do some of the tests that I would have to do if I work in a hospital lab, which includes all sorts of blood tests and a rumored pee test. I was so excited that I just could not keep my mouth shut! Usually I never talk in class because it’s a whole different ball game but in this class I was asking questions left and right.

After classes I had to buy my books. I could not put it off any longer so I hunted them down in the book store and raced to the back of the line, which was coiled through out the entire top floor of the book store, and slowly inched my way to the cash register briefing my self with every step for what was to come. Once there, I had just enough strength in me to slowly raise the books to the counter and wait for the cahier to ring me up. Total $256.63 and I still need more books that they ran out of…..
